From a previous bad experience with a pair of Steve Madden, I thought to give them another try because this look was exactly what I was looking for. These required no break in period and are the most comfortable pair of dress shoes. They also look good with a suit and/or jeans. Highly recommended!

I really like these shoes. They have many different kinds of leather paneling and stitching, which makes them look stylish and distinctive. They’re also very comfortable, and their versatility allows you to wear them with a lot of different outfits for a lot of different occasions.

Bought these as a commuter shoe from train to office, but ended up wearing them @ work too since its business casual. Very comfortable and stylish! Versatile as well since they can be worn with many pants – khaki, gray, corduroy and jeans.

From the first minute of putting on the shoes I knew I had made the correct choice! Great workmanship, incredibly comfortable and really quite stylish. I’ve been thinking about ordering these for some time now and finally pulled the trigger on this pair. I almost got a pair of wingtip shoes, but the Steve Maddens won out. Could not be happier. The second I put them on, they felt like I’ve been wearing them for months and were already broken in. I only hope they hold up and last. Thanks again Zappos!!!

These are really cool shoes.
I was a bit concerned that they might look a bit too worn right out of the box – based on the images – but they don’t.
They look different, and a bit aged – but certainly new.
They are well made (more so than I expected) and fairly well padded and soft.
They’ll need a bit of a break in, but otherwise very comfortable.
I fit a size 11 in virtually every shoe and sneaker, but I will say that there is a lot more toe length here than in anything I can remember buying.
Certainly much of that is due to the style and shape of the shoe, and not completely unexpected.
But, it is possible that if you’re a slim and light guy like me – 5’11” tall at 16lbs., with correspondingly trim feet – you may be able t go a 1/2 size down.

This is the first pair of Steve Madden shoes I have purchased, so it is new ground. From the image on the Zappos website I thought the shoes were somewhat more worn and casual, but some wear without shining should take care of that. I usually put a padded orthotic inside size 9 shoes but found that unnecessary in this case.
The fit across the top of my foot is not what I expected, though. In Derby or blucher shoes, the throat should lace comfortably with only 1/8 to 1/4″ space between the edges, but these shoes only fit comfortably with a full inch of space across the center. I thought about sending this pair back in exchange for a size 9 1/2, but the shoes would have been too large, since they fit well otherwise. Of course this is not the fault of Zappos, but it does not predispose me to order more Steve Madden shoes.

The shoes I received (and sent back) did not have the same vividness and differentiation of brown shades as appear in the online images. I was disappointed. Instead of having a distressed, or aged appearance, they looked like faux leather with poorly applied paint. The return process is excellent.

Unfortunately, these shoes are too tight. I had been a narrow b width as a younger man, but now wear a medium d width. These shoes in d are too tight. I like the style but the build quality is lacking with badly aligned stitching on top of the left shoe. I wore them hoping I’d adjust to the fit and will keep trying to break them in.

I am unsure if I purchased these here or somewhere else, but I’ve had these since June of 2021, it is now November of 2023. I wear them pretty much every day, for up to twelve hours a day and put a lot of miles on them. They are just getting to the point at which they need to be replaced. The soles are starting to detach from the upper leather. The foot cushions just barely wore through a couple months ago. I get compliments on these on a regular basis. I shine them regularly as well and have used small amounts of glue to keep parts together. I’ve been so impressed with the build quality and durability of these, on top of the lasting comfort, that instead of getting something else I’ll just re-order these. Always thought I spent far more on these but the price history shows they were always a pretty good price for what you get. Only downsides: the little black leather tabs lost their metal rivets pretty quickly. I just glued these down. The other part is strangely, not sure if it’s the shoes or the laces I buy, but these things ate laces like crazy, just every few months I was getting new laces because they’d start to fray.
